Harold looked at his home gym with an overwhelmed expression. He just wasn’t sure if he could continue. Harold was beginning to feel the money he spent on the latest and greatest exercise equipment would have been better saved. And the time it took to turn the spare bedroom into his home gym was wasted.
As he approached fifty, Harold knew he needed to be physically active. He was hoping that working out regularly would help put him on track.
And so he began, spared no expense on equipment, and even hired an in-home trainer for a few sessions. He got into a routine, waking an hour-and-a-half earlier than normal, and having a protein shake right after his workout.
He began to eat lots of lean protein and try to build muscle. Everything seemed to be in place for Harold to improve his health. And, in turn, improve the way he felt. When Harold began, he was full of zest and vigor for a better life. Now, he was unsure what to do.
The trouble began a few weeks ago when he started to feel fatigued. He would also get muscle cramps on and off throughout the day. And more recently, he began to have extreme bouts of sleepiness. Having to stave off wanting a nap during the workday, yet sometimes taking one anyways.
Initially, Harold thought maybe he was pushing himself too hard. Overworking his body and not allowing himself enough rest. So, he began to cut back on his workout routine and tried to get more sleep. None of this seemed to pull him out of the cycle of muscle cramps, fatigue, and chronic tiredness.
He finally broke down and went to the doctor, and his provider ordered blood tests. With his results in hand, he looked at his expensive equipment and wondered if he would have to get rid of it all.
His tests showed that he had inflammation and acidosis in his body. He was low on Potassium and needed to right his pH balance.
Unsure of what to do next, Harold found himself on the internet researching. And one solution to his problem seemed so simple he couldn’t afford to not try it.
Your pH balance and you.
There’s a delicate balance that you may not be aware of. It’s a balance that continually moves from one direction to another. It ebbs and flows daily, and bad things can happen if it gets too far out.
This, of course, is your body’s pH balance.
In chemistry, pH denotes the “potential of hydrogen” (or power of hydrogen). It’s a scale used to specify the acidity or basicity of a solution.
It’s generally accepted that anything below a 7 (neutral) is acidic. And solutions above 7 are basic or alkaline in nature. An acidic solution will have a lower pH, and basic (alkaline) solutions will have a higher pH value.
Your body has varying degrees of pH. For instance, your skin tries to maintain an acidic level on its surface of 4 to 6.5. This acidic state helps in protecting the body from outside microbes.
The stomach also stays acidic, with a pH level of 1.35 to 3.5. This acidic environment is essential for energy production, breaking down protein and food particles. It also creates a hostile environment that kills off bacteria and other pathogens.
The pH of your blood and organs stays at a slightly alkaline state of 7.35 to 7.45. This level is found in healthy individuals and is ideal for many biological processes, such as blood oxygenation.
What happens when your pH is out of balance?
Every system within the body is affected by a high acidity or a lower-than-normal pH. Suppose your body is low on essential minerals to help combat high acidity.
In that case, it draws upon stores within your bones and other structures. Removing these stores can then negatively affect the proper functioning of these structures.
Acidosis (excess acids within the body) has proven to be a significant factor in many disease processes. This includes stroke, diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, and cancer. What seems to be a common factor among these conditions is the inflammation caused by unbalanced pH levels.
One of the first signs of excess acidity is muscle pain, difficulty breathing, and chronic fatigue. An acidic system can also present differently in certain parts of the body, such as:
Circulatory system: Inflammation is an underlying factor in heart disease. Excess acid in your system can increase your chance of problems as cardiovascular tissues become inflamed. This makes it more difficult for blood to flow easily to and from the heart and can lead to heart failure.
Digestive system: There are definite problems within this system when you retain too much acid in your body. This is due to the pancreas failing to send signals to other organs, resulting in inflammation. This can cause nausea, bloating, and gastric reflux.
Urinary system: With a low pH (acidic), your body’s urinary system will draw alkaline materials from other sources, such as your bones and organs. It then transfers these materials into the bloodstream to combat acidity. This can lead to debilitating kidney stones.
Integumentary system: Comprised of the skin, nails, hair, and exocrine glands. Acidic conditions can cause a buildup of deposits within the skin. This can lead to rashes, pimples, wounds, and lesions. The resulting inflammation blocks the skin’s ability to stop infections and invading pathogens.
Muscular system: The body breaks down oxygen and glucose to generate energy. If your body is too acidic, these metabolic processes can be disrupted. This can cause your muscles to perform at a less-than-ideal level.
Nervous system: High acidity levels within the body can hinder the constant energy required for physical, emotional, and mental strength.
Respiratory system: Oxygen traveling to your cells can be hindered by high acidity. Without a properly functioning respiratory system and high acidity, toxic waste and mucus in the lungs could lead to asthma, bronchitis, recurrent colds, or other respiratory infections.
Skeletal system: Acidosis can cause inflammation in the joints, leading to stiffness, pain, and other arthritis-like symptoms.
These symptoms, like Harold’s fatigue and muscle cramps, can overlap or show up as subtle individual signs. The best bet to avoid problems with acidosis is to maintain a slightly alkaline diet. And make sure you are getting the minerals your body needs to reverse acidosis.
Acids in your body are a normal by-product of your metabolism. Food acids are released by processing proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. As acids build up, they are filtered through the kidneys and released in the urine.
Oxygen and minerals, such as Potassium and magnesium, are basic or alkaline on the scale and help shift the pH away from being too acidic.
Ways to raise your pH
Hydrating is essential. Liquids help with your digestion and keep illness at bay. Make sure to drink plenty of water and juices to neutralize pH levels. Of particular benefit for raising your pH is warm lemon water.
Along with plenty of fluids, a good diet is critical to nearly all aspects of your health, including your pH levels. Eat plenty of green vegetables such as spinach, kale, collards, zucchini, and lettuce.
Alcohol, caffeine, and processed foods, especially GMO foods, will raise the acidity. So, stay away from them as much as possible.
There is another option for those on the go constantly. Or perhaps you eat a poor diet due to daily schedules and life.
Adding a mineral supplement to the liquids you drink can raise their pH and, in turn, help restore balance to your body.
Harold is known to be low on Potassium, so a product that offers that mineral and is easy to use becomes ideal.
One such product is offered by Alkazone Global LLC. And they have been designed to be easy to carry for convenient, everyday use.

I know my blood is showing too much inflammation for a variety of reasons. But I’ll admit I’m not diligent in using lemon juice/or apple cider vinegar regular to reduce acidity in my body. This product is excellent – and tasteless. And SO convenient to use – so I use it consistently. My blood tests were getting bad very recently. Started using this product and results were immediate. I highly recommend it!
Those are the results you get by always having a convenient way to fight acidity with you. Just 3 drops in 8-10 ounces will raise the pH to 9.5, creating a potent counterbalance to acid issues.
